How apt.
"You might have to be firm and take a stand if you are pushed to your limit today. It may not be easy to set your boundaries since you could be facing a powerful opponent. Don't be afraid to openly disagree, even if the odds are not in your favor. It's not about winning the argument; it's simply about making sure that you are heard."

I have spent several minutes of my precious time over the past 2 weeks looking for the perfect notebook in bookstores everywhere.
And no, not the laptop, but a notebook made of lined paper.
It is amazing, but I have not seen any notebook that fits all my criteria!
How can that be? I am like the least fussy of people...
Here's my wish list:
1. A5 size 2. Bound by spiral wires (this rules out Moleskine) 3. Cover: Hard unbending plastic (again, this rules out Moleskine and loads of cloth bound notebooks) 4. Cover: Tasteful, preferably one colour, designs with minimal drawings. (there go Hello Kitty, Mashi Maro, and even my beloved Edward Monkton). 5. Paper: Smooth, but not too smooth (not like Moleskine - too smooth) 6. Paper: Lined, but the lines must not be too far apart since a. I don't have huge handwriting, and b. its a waste of space. 7. Paper: Top of page should have a box for date or subject (For points 6 and 7 - Azone has the best lined paper. Most upmarket bookshops sell notebooks with really badly lined paper.) 8. Contents: Must have 2010 calendar - the monthly square boxes spread over 2 pages, in front. 9. Contents: The rest of the pages should be lined paper as described above. 10. Contents: The notebook should have many pages - at least 1.5 cm thick, so that it can last me the whole year. (I usually scribble over many pages every day.) 11. No coloured pages. White pages with grey or black lines only.
There! Piece of cake!
Or so I thought. Pfft.

Ok, 2010 is still 2 months away but I am currently inspired and need to get this down, all GTD-like.
1. Mid-Back Length Hair 2. 1 x 60 day Bikram yoga challenge - 6 days a week x 10 weeks 3. Move Job Along 4. Clear wardrobe ruthlessly of crap clothes 5. At least 1 set of new clothes a month - nice clothes for all occasions 6. Better Skin 7. Visit 2 new places in the world 8. Save $1.2k a month into personal savings accounts 9. 1 Fruit or Vegetable a day 10. Every Friday is Social Friday.

Am in a super go-getter mood today.
Spent day facing my fears and finally sat down and sent out 4 emails that have been like affecting my sleep for the past 2 months.
I don't do them because the issues are so annoying, but I get stressed because I am the point of backlog... but I still don't do them ... and end up with panic attacks at 3 am at night...
Such a relief to finally get them done and press the send button!
In fact, I don't know why the hell I waited so long!
I think I will sleep well tonight, for the first time in a long while.

Was talking to one of my friends this afternoon in the midst of a crazy day.
She asked how I have been coping.
I said I am currently doing really badly, coping terribly, and in general just dying a slow and painful death.
She's like - "hey, don't forget why we left practice to come here."
Damn it! That definitely brought me back down to earth.
Am taking the rest of the day off, stat!

Dear soleilblanc came to class with me yesterday and provided the push I needed to go for my 2nd double ever!
Almost died during the 2nd class though. Was super sweaty (much much more so than during my morning classes) and very tired! By the floor series, I was essentially marking time and living in the moment until the end.
The good thing - Was super flexible and did not ache so much. Too bad I couldn't hold many of the poses 'cos the sweat just kept rolling.
Minus 3 classes now!

I am now minus 4 days after missing yesterday in order to hang out with lovely soleilblanc
Have up to 1 November to catch up! This means 4 doubles within this month.
Somehow I am not worried. Ha ha. I think I will only start freaking out later in the month.
Meanwhile, practice is going ok. Had a bout of super-awakeness / super go-getterism last week and consequently had (to me) 3 rock star early morning practices where my mind was alert and my body was co-operative.
However, today's class brought me back down to earth. Fell out of my standing series loads of times even though I was not dying (grr) and rabbit killed me (as usual).
But all is well, I am just taking things as they come, and holding on to the fact that, yes, everyday is different.
Besides, my little brain is more occupied with work matters. Work!
(and also the fact that I am going to move my piano over to my place soon!)
